Summary
Fanfic author Kay and beauty pageant contestant Teagan learn what it means to be--and to stand up for--yourself when they find love at a small fandom conventionUp and coming fanfic author Kaylee Beaumont finally has a chance to meet her fandom friends in real life and spend a weekend at GreatCon. She also has a side quest for the weekend: Try out they/them pronouns to see how it feels; wear more masculine-presenting cosplay; and kiss a girl for the first time. Pageant queen Teagan Miller (Miss Virginia) has her eye on the $25,000 scholarship awarded to the winner of the Miss Cosmic Teen USA pageant. She's gay, but needs to keep herself wrapped up tight so she can claim the scholarship. When Teagan and Kay meet, sparks fly. Their connection is intense-- but so is their shared enemy: Kaylee's hometown bully, Miss North Carolina.-- adapted from jacket
